Named Kansa for its beautifully bronzed surface, this is an exceptional heavyweight heritage silk woven entirely by hand.

The fabric is completely undyed. Its layered shades of antique bronze, bark brown, taupe, stone and charcoal come directly from the original silk fibres—no dyes, pigments or printed effects have been used.

Closely woven rows of naturally irregular silk yarn create a richly striated surface with remarkable depth. The colours appear to shift subtly under changing light, moving between warm bronze and earthy brown while retaining a refined, understated lustre.

At approximately 320 GSM, Kansa is robust, substantial and beautifully structured. It holds its shape exceptionally well and has a sculptural fall rather than the fluid drape of lightweight silk. The fabric feels architectural and grounded while retaining the quiet luxury of handwoven heritage silk.

Small slubs, knots, tonal variations and changes in yarn thickness are intentional characteristics of the natural fibres and handloom process. Every length will have its own individual surface and composition.

CARE
