    Descripción

This is an exceptionally rare handwoven wild silk fabric, created from forest-foraged silk cocoons gathered from the wild rather than farmed. Unlike cultivated silk, wild silk cocoons grow freely in natural ecosystems, feeding on native trees and plants, which gives the fiber its distinctive earthy color, organic irregularity, and deeply textured character.

The silk yarn used in this fabric is completely undyed. Its warm grey-beige tone, flecked with natural variations, comes directly from the cocoon itself. No bleaching, no dyeing, no chemical processing—just raw silk in its most authentic form.

Because wild cocoons are short-fibered and uneven, spinning them into usable yarn is extremely labor-intensive. Each thread contains natural slubs, thick-thin variations, and tiny silk nodules. Weaving such yarn on a loom requires exceptional skill: the warp tension must be adjusted constantly, breakage is common, and the weaver must work slowly and deliberately to maintain fabric integrity. This is one of the most difficult silk textiles to weave by hand.

The result is a cloth with a deeply sculpted, rippled surface—almost like natural bark or stone—rich with shadow, movement, and tactile depth. At 480 GSM, this is a heavy, architectural silk fabric with presence and weight, yet still breathable and organic.

This is not decorative silk. This is textile as material—raw, honest, and powerful.

    Perfect for:
Statement jackets, outerwear, structured garments, upholstery, wall panels, cushions, slow-fashion couture, and collectible textile pieces.
