Descripción
A robust deadstock hemp dobby fabric with a distinctive woven texture, substantial body, and naturally grounded character.
At approximately 250 GSM, this is a midweight fabric with enough structure for durable garments, utility pieces, bags, and selected home textiles. The dobby weave adds subtle dimension to the surface, creating visual interest without the need for printing or applied decoration.
Naturally strong and long-wearing, hemp may feel firm initially but will soften beautifully with washing and use while retaining its inherent durability. As a deadstock textile, this fabric comes from existing surplus inventory, giving makers an opportunity to work with a limited material that might otherwise remain unused.
### How It’s Made
This fabric is woven using a dobby-controlled construction that creates its textured pattern directly within the cloth.
The raised and recessed areas are formed through variations in the interlacing of the yarns rather than through printing or embossing. This gives the texture lasting definition and adds body to the fabric.
Because this is deadstock material, the exact original production details and future availability may be limited.

### Wash & Care
Pre-washing is recommended before cutting, as hemp may shrink during its first wash.
Hand wash or machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Wash with similar colours and do not bleach.
Line drying is preferred. If tumble drying is necessary, use a low-temperature setting to minimise shrinkage and protect the woven texture.
Iron on medium heat while the fabric is slightly damp. Test the temperature on a small area first.
### Deadstock Disclaimer
Deadstock fabrics may show slight variations in texture, weave, shade, or finish. Minor marks or irregularities may also occur due to storage and the nature of surplus textiles.
Colour may appear different depending on lighting and screen settings. Hemp may feel stiff when new but will develop a softer, more relaxed character with washing and use.
As deadstock fabric is available only in a limited quantity, an exact restock may not be possible once the current yardage is sold.
