This handwoven indigo chambray is a lightweight, versatile fabric made from 100% organic cotton. Naturally dyed with indigo, it features the characteristic depth and subtle colour variation that make traditional indigo textiles so distinctive.

The classic chambray construction combines indigo-coloured yarns with lighter yarns to create a softly heathered surface rather than a completely flat blue. At 130 GSM, the fabric feels light, breathable, and comfortable against the skin, with a soft drape and enough body for everyday garments.

With continued wear and washing, the indigo will gradually soften and develop a unique patina. This natural ageing process adds character to the fabric and allows every finished piece to become more individual over time.

As the fabric is woven by hand, minor slubs, weave variations, and subtle irregularities may occur. These are natural characteristics of handwoven cloth and should not be considered defects.

Care Instructions

Pre-washing is recommended before cutting, as some shrinkage may occur.

Wash separately in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Natural indigo may release colour during the first several washes and may initially transfer through rubbing or contact with moisture. This is a normal characteristic of genuine indigo-dyed textiles.

Do not soak, bleach, scrub, or wring. Dry naturally in the shade and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Iron on low to medium heat from the reverse side.
