      Descripción

      A clean, midweight softened cotton duck canvas with a smooth surface, dependable structure, and a more relaxed handfeel than traditional rigid canvas.

      At approximately 250 GSM, this fabric offers a practical balance of durability, comfort, and wearability. It has enough body to hold its shape while remaining pliable for garments, accessories, and home textile projects.

      Its clean white colour and compact surface give it a versatile, contemporary appearance. The fabric can be used in its original form or customised through dyeing, printing, embroidery, painting, and other surface-design techniques after testing.

      ### How It’s Made

      Duck canvas is woven in a tight plain weave using closely set cotton yarns. This compact construction gives the fabric its characteristic strength, stability, and resistance to everyday wear.

      Unlike traditional untreated canvas, this version has been softened to reduce rigidity while preserving the substantial body expected from a canvas fabric. It will become increasingly supple with washing and use.

      ### Wash & Care

      Pre-washing is recommended before cutting, as cotton may shrink during its first wash.

      Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Wash whites separately. Avoid bleach unless intentional whitening is desired, as repeated use may weaken the fibres.

      Line dry naturally or tumble dry on low heat. Avoid high temperatures to minimise shrinkage.

      Iron on medium to high heat while slightly damp if required. The fabric will naturally soften and develop a more relaxed character with repeated washing and use.

      ### Naturally Dyed Colour Variations

      This softened duck canvas is available in three naturally dyed shades:

      * Mustard
      * Olive Black
      * Faded Merlot

      Natural dyes create rich, nuanced colours with gentle variations across the fabric. Slight tonal differences, unevenness, and subtle marks may occur between batches and within the same length. These are characteristic of the natural dyeing process and should not be considered defects.

      ### Natural-Dye Care

      Wash separately in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Do not soak, bleach, or use harsh stain removers.

      Line dry in the shade and avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight. Some colour transfer and gradual fading may occur with washing, wear, and exposure to light. This is a natural characteristic of plant-dyed fabric and allows each piece to develop a unique patina over time.

      Always test your chosen washing method on a small swatch before treating the full yardage.
