## Fabric Overview
This lightweight hemp burlap crepe fabric features an airy, open weave and a naturally crinkled surface inspired by traditional crepe textiles. It retains hemp’s rustic, organic character while feeling considerably lighter and more wearable than conventional burlap.
At approximately 96 GSM, the fabric is breathable, textural, and ideal for relaxed garments, layering pieces, and lightweight home textiles.
Available in two yarn-dyed shades:
* Jet Black
* Rust with Indigo
## How the Fabric Is Made
Hemp yarns are woven in a textured crepe-style construction with a subtle broken-twill character. This structure creates an open, breathable surface with gentle crinkles, natural irregularity, and visible yarn movement.
The Rust with Indigo variation combines warm rust and indigo-coloured yarns, creating contrast and tonal depth directly within the weave.
The Jet Black variation has a deeper, more minimal appearance while retaining the raw texture and woven character of hemp.
Both colourways are yarn-dyed and woven—not printed.

## Wash and Care
Hand wash or machine wash separately on a cold, gentle cycle using a mild detergent.
Do not bleach, wring, or tumble dry. Line dry in the shade to preserve the colour and natural crinkled texture.
Steam lightly if required, but avoid pressing the fabric completely flat. Hemp naturally softens and develops additional character with washing and wear.
## Natural Fabric Disclaimer
Subtle shade variations, slubs, yarn irregularities, and differences in weave texture are natural characteristics of hemp and yarn-dyed textiles. These details contribute to the fabric’s organic character and should not be considered defects.
