Description
1. Fabric Overview
This dark green cotton corduroy is a substantial, winter-weight fabric with a rich pile and pronounced wale definition.
Woven at 350 GSM with a classic 13-wale structure, it offers depth, warmth, and durability while maintaining a refined, heritage-workwear aesthetic.
The deep green tone enhances the fabric’s dimensional texture, making it well suited to both utilitarian and elevated applications.
2. How the Fabric Is Made
Corduroy is produced by weaving additional sets of filling yarns into a durable base cloth and then cutting the floats to create raised vertical ribs known as wales.
This fabric features 13 wales per inch, placing it in the medium-wale category for a clearly defined, tactile surface.
After cutting, the pile is brushed to soften the hand while preserving wale clarity and structural integrity.
