Description
Featherfelt is an extraordinarily rare yak-wool, shaped and finished by hand through a demanding felting process. It is one of those textiles whose character cannot be understood through weight alone: visibly thick and deeply lofty, yet remarkably feathery and light beneath the fingers.
At approximately 300 GSM, the fabric gains its substance from volume rather than hard density. Its softly raised fibres form an airy, clouded surface that feels warm and enveloping without becoming rigid, compact or board-like. The body is plush and softly substantial, with a rounded, pliable fall rather than a crisp or sharply tailored structure.
Each colour has been naturally dyed, producing deep, complex shades with subtle tonal movement across the felted surface. The interaction between dye, fibre and hand felting gives every length an individual character that cannot be replicated with a perfectly uniform industrial finish.

Small variations in colour, thickness, surface and fibre direction are intrinsic to the naturally dyed, hand-felted process. They are part of what makes this heritage textile exceptionally rare and singular.

Care Instructions
Professional dry cleaning by a cleaner experienced with fine wool is strongly recommended. Do not soak, agitate, scrub or wring. Avoid direct ironing, as pressure may flatten the felted surface. If necessary, use gentle hovering steam without touching the fabric. Store folded rather than hanging for extended periods.
