Description
A beautifully textured handwoven lambswool fabric in a soft, warm ivory shade. Its fine herringbone weave creates a delicate zigzag pattern and subtle tonal variation, giving the fabric understated depth and character.
Although approximately 250 GSM, this fabric does not have the dense, firm structure of conventional tweed. Its handwoven construction gives it a softer, more fluid and flowing drape.
As this fabric is woven by hand, slight irregularities may occur throughout the cloth. These are natural characteristics of handwoven textiles and make every length beautifully individual.

IDEAL USES
Best suited to relaxed, unstructured jackets, overshirts, loose waistcoats, softly draped skirts, relaxed trousers, shawls, wraps and other projects that benefit from a fluid wool fabric.
Please note that this fabric is not suitable for making a classic structured tweed coat or tailored outerwear requiring a thick, rigid coat cloth. It is considerably more flowy and less structured than traditional tweed.

Dry cleaning is recommended. If you intend to wash the fabric, please test a small swatch first. Colours may appear slightly different depending on screen and lighting conditions.
