    Description

A rare and beautifully textured handwoven Kasuri indigo fabric, blending the warmth of yak wool (20%) with the breathability and strength of cotton (80%). At 220 GSM, this is a medium-weight, artisan cloth that carries depth, presence, and a tactile richness that only traditional handloom techniques can achieve.

The Kasuri (ikat-style) indigo pattern is not printed — it is created through painstaking yarn-resist dyeing and handweaving, giving the fabric a softly blurred, painterly edge that feels deeply artisanal. The addition of yak wool lends subtle warmth, resilience, and a unique natural character, while the cotton keeps the cloth comfortable, wearable, and seasonally versatile.

This is a heritage textile for slow fashion — ideal for structured garments, elevated layering, and statement pieces that honor craft, sustainability, and material storytelling.

    HOW THE FABRIC IS MADE
Hand-dyed indigo yarns using traditional Kasuri (ikat) techniques
Yarns are resist-dyed before weaving, then aligned and woven by hand on a handloom
Blended with 20% yak wool for warmth, texture, and natural insulation
80% cotton base provides breathability, strength, and comfort against the skin
Woven with a balanced handloom construction that retains natural irregularities — a hallmark of authentic artisanal textiles
