Description
Kanso Form is an exceptionally refined cotton-based suiting fabric produced for export by a Japanese mill. Densely and precisely woven, it has the clean surface, substantial body, and dependable structure required for beautifully resolved tailoring.
At over 400 GSM, this is a genuinely heavyweight fabric. It holds a silhouette confidently, supports crisp seams and tailoring details, and gives garments a luxurious sense of substance. Despite its weight, it does not feel hard or unyielding.
The addition of 3% spandex introduces a light comfort stretch. This is not an overtly elastic or jersey-like fabric; the stretch is discreet and controlled, providing just enough ease for sitting, bending and everyday movement. It makes close-fitting jackets and tailored trousers considerably more comfortable without compromising their shape.
The surface is smooth, compact and exceptionally neat, with the consistency expected from a precision mill-woven textile. Its drape is substantial and controlled rather than fluid, while its slight flexibility prevents it from feeling excessively rigid.

Professional dry cleaning is recommended. If pressing is required, use a low-to-medium temperature with a pressing cloth. Avoid excessive heat, as this may affect the spandex fibres. Do not stretch the fabric while steaming or pressing. Test all construction and finishing methods on a small swatch first.
