    Description

This lightweight cotton-and-wool fabric features a distinctive hopsack weave, formed by grouped yarns interlacing to create a softly textured, basket-like surface. The construction gives the fabric visual depth, breathability, and a relaxed character without feeling bulky.

Made from 90% cotton with 10% wool, it remains predominantly soft, comfortable, and breathable, while the wool content adds subtle warmth and a slightly richer handle. At 130 GSM, the fabric feels light and airy with gentle body, making it suitable for layering and year-round garments.

Available in six versatile shades, this fabric works beautifully for relaxed clothing, lightweight tailoring, and textural sewing projects.

    Care Instructions

Because the fabric contains wool, gentle care is recommended. Professional dry cleaning is the safest option for tailored garments.

If washing at home, first test a small swatch. Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild wool-safe detergent. Do not soak, scrub, agitate, or wring, as heat and friction may cause shrinkage.

Reshape while damp and dry naturally in the shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on low heat from the reverse side using a pressing cloth.

    Sewing Note

The open hopsack construction may fray more readily than a tightly woven fabric. Handle cut pieces carefully and finish raw edges with overlocking, binding, or enclosed seams. A lining may be preferred for structured garments or lighter shades.

    Please Note

Small variations in texture, yarn placement, and surface appearance are natural characteristics of a hopsack weave and should not be considered defects.

Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting and individual screen settings. Minor shade variations may also occur between production batches.
