A beautifully soft and breathable organic cotton double gauze, constructed by lightly tacking two fine layers of gauze together. The result is an airy, gently cushioned fabric with a naturally crinkled surface and relaxed drape.

At approximately 125 GSM, it is lightweight yet stable, offering excellent breathability with enough opacity and body for comfortable everyday garments. The cotton fibres allow air to circulate freely and absorb moisture, making the fabric particularly suitable for warm climates, summer clothing, babywear, and pieces worn close to the skin.

Its softly puckered texture creates an effortless, lived-in appearance that does not require ironing. The fabric will become even softer and more comfortable with washing and wear.

### How It’s Made

Double gauze is formed from two lightweight layers of plain-weave cotton gauze connected at regular intervals with tiny, nearly invisible stitches or binding threads.

This construction traps a small amount of air between the layers, giving the cloth its characteristic softness, gentle volume, and breathable comfort without making it feel heavy.

The fabric is left naturally uncoated to preserve its soft handfeel, absorbency, and airy character.

### Wash & Care

Pre-washing is strongly recommended before cutting, as cotton may shrink and the crinkled texture can become more pronounced after washing.

Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle or hand wash using a mild detergent. Wash with similar colours and avoid bleach or harsh fabric softeners.

Line dry naturally or tumble dry on low heat. High temperatures may cause additional shrinkage.

Ironing is generally unnecessary, as the relaxed crinkle is an intentional characteristic of double gauze. If desired, lightly steam or press on a low-to-medium setting without flattening the natural texture.

Minor puckering, surface variation, and slight irregularities are characteristic of double gauze and should not be considered defects.
