Description
Sashiko Ori Form is an exceptional heavyweight cotton defined by a densely interlaced, deeply tactile woven surface. Compact raised threads form rhythmic rows across the cloth, creating the visual richness associated with sashiko-inspired textiles without relying on print or surface embellishment.
At approximately 500 GSM, this is a decisively substantial fabric. Its firm, structured hand holds clean planes, sculptural panels and pronounced silhouettes with very little collapse. It is not soft or fluid and is best chosen for projects that require body, stability and architectural form.
The pronounced weave catches light differently across its raised and recessed areas, giving the darker shades remarkable depth while making the lighter shades appear especially dimensional. Its generous 62-inch width also makes it highly efficient for outerwear, accessories and larger textile projects.

IDEAL USES
Structured jackets, chore coats, boxy overshirts, sculptural vests, firm skirts, workwear-inspired trousers, utility garments, bags, totes, backpacks, pouches, cushions and considered home-textile projects. It is not recommended for garments requiring a soft, flowing drape.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-washing is recommended before cutting. Wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, keeping dark and strongly coloured shades separate. Do not bleach or scrub the textured surface. Line dry in the shade and avoid high-heat tumble drying. Iron on the reverse using a medium temperature. Professionally clean complex or heavily constructed finished garments when appropriate.
