Description
The Shepherd’s Cloth is a distinctive hemp and cotton blend with the grounded character of an old utility textile and the refinement of a carefully considered contemporary cloth.
Its lightly open plain weave creates a fine crosshatched surface, enriched by visible slubs, tonal flecks and subtle shifts in the yarn. At approximately 230 GSM, it is a true midweight fabric: substantial enough to give a garment presence, yet neither dense nor rigid. It remains pliable and falls into broad, relaxed folds, offering soft structure with an easy, natural drape.
The hemp lends the cloth its dry, tactile character, while the cotton brings balance and comfort. Presented in six nuanced earth-led shades, it is especially beautiful for understated clothing, relaxed tailoring and quietly textural interiors.
Small slubs, flecks and variations in yarn thickness are characteristic of this fabric and form an intentional part of its richly tactile appearance. Due to the lightly open weave, paler shades may show a little translucency under strong light.
