      Description

A richly saturated mustard cotton corduroy with a refined 10-wale rib, woven for depth, resilience, and tactile character. At 353 GSM, this is a substantial, heritage-weight corduroy that balances structured integrity with wearable comfort. The warm golden tone has a natural, vintage patina that reads artisan rather than industrial—ideal for makers who value slow-made, tactile textiles with lasting presence.

      2) How It’s Made

This is a woven cut-pile corduroy constructed with a warp-faced rib structure. After weaving, the fabric undergoes precise pile cutting to create its signature vertical wales, followed by brushing to refine the surface and enhance handfeel. It is piece-dyed in a deep mustard shade for even, luminous color while preserving the fabric’s natural cotton character.

      3) Technical Specifications

      Fiber: 100% cotton

      Construction: Cut-pile corduroy, 13 wale

Weight: 353 GSM (≈ heavy midweight to heavyweight)

Width: 58 inches (147 cm) assumed

      Finish: Brushed pile, piece-dyed

      Stretch: None (stable, non-elastic)

Pile Direction: One-way nap (runs lengthwise)

      4) Handfeel & Drape

Soft, brushed pile with a dry, clean cotton touch and a subtle plushness between the ribs. The drape is structured yet compliant—it holds shape beautifully for tailored pieces while still moving gracefully in garments. The fabric recovers well from handling and resists surface flattening with proper care.

      5) Ideal Uses

Tailored jackets, blazers, and chore coats

      Trousers, pinafores, and skirts

      Structured shirts and overshirts

      Heritage-inspired bags and accessories

Cushions, light upholstery, and curtains where texture is a design feature

      (Not recommended for stretch-dependent patterns.)

      6) Wash & Care + Disclaimers

Pre-wash cold, gentle cycle or hand wash; line dry

Wash separately for the first few washes to avoid color transfer

Iron on low from the reverse side or use a needle board to protect the pile

Avoid heavy pressing directly on the ribs

Expect minimal shrinkage if washed gently; always test a small swatch first
