Natural Ivory Ahimsa Matka Silk is an exceptionally soft, handwoven mulberry peace silk with a quiet luminosity and a beautifully gentle drape. The silk is collected from mulberry cocoons after the moth has emerged, giving the fabric the softly textured character associated with Matka and Ahimsa silk.

At approximately 160–165 GSM, it feels remarkably light without appearing insubstantial. It falls into fluid, relaxed folds rather than holding a crisp or rigid shape, making it especially lovely for garments that require softness and movement. Its fine handwoven grain gives the surface subtle depth while preserving a smooth, delicate handle.

The colour is a natural, warm ivory, not a stark optical white, with a soft pearlescent glow that shifts gently in the light. Small variations in the yarn and weave are intrinsic to its handwoven construction and give every length its individual character.

Professional dry cleaning is recommended. If washing is preferred, first test a small swatch. Hand wash gently in cold water using a mild, silk-safe detergent. Do not soak, wring, or tumble dry. Dry flat in the shade and iron on a low silk setting from the reverse.
