    Description

A refined mulberry silk chiffon with a soft white surface, delicate translucency, and an elegant, fluid drape.

At approximately 90 GSM, this is a more substantial chiffon than extremely lightweight sheer silks. It offers a beautiful balance of softness, movement, and gentle structure while remaining airy and graceful.

The additional weight makes the fabric easier to handle during sewing and more wearable for garments, while still preserving chiffon’s characteristic lightness and translucency. Its clean white shade is also suitable for dyeing, printing, and other textile treatments after testing.

    ### How It’s Made

This fabric is woven from fine mulberry silk yarns in a chiffon-style construction.

The weave creates a delicate, lightly textured surface with an airy handfeel and graceful fall. Mulberry silk contributes natural lustre, smoothness, breathability, and refined softness, while the 90 GSM weight provides more stability than ultra-sheer chiffon.

    ### Wash & Care

Dry cleaning is recommended for the best preservation of the fabric’s texture, drape, and finish.

Gentle hand washing in cold water may be suitable after testing a small swatch. Use a mild, silk-safe detergent and avoid soaking for extended periods.

Do not bleach, wring, twist, scrub, or tumble dry. Roll gently in a clean towel to remove excess moisture, then line dry naturally in the shade.

Steam lightly or iron from the reverse side on a low silk setting. Use a pressing cloth and avoid prolonged direct heat.

Slight shade variation, fine slubs, and natural yarn irregularities may occur and are characteristic of silk textiles rather than defects. Pre-washing or testing is recommended before cutting, dyeing, or printing.
