    Description

A refined yak wool–cotton blend handwoven in quiet, natural gray tones. At 200 GSM, this sits in the true midweight range—substantial enough for structured garments yet supple enough for everyday wear. The cloth carries the warmth and subtle halo of yak wool balanced by the stability of a cotton ground, resulting in a textile that feels heritage-minded, understated, and deeply tactile. Offered in three undyed, naturally occurring gray shades, each yard retains subtle tonal variation that speaks to fiber origin rather than processing.

    2) How It’s Made

This fabric is handwoven on traditional looms using undyed yak wool blended into a cotton warp-and-weft system. The weave is a balanced plain structure that allows the yak fibers to bloom gently on the surface while keeping the cloth stable and durable. The fabric is finished lightly to preserve the natural character of both fibers—no chemical softeners, no bleaching, and no colorants.

    3) Technical Specifications

Fiber blend: Yak wool + cotton (gray cotton ground with yak content)
    Construction: Handwoven plain weave
    Weight: 200 GSM (midweight)
    Width: 45 inches (114 cm)
    Finish: Light, natural hand; undyed
    Stretch: None (stable woven)
    Opacity: Opaque

    Colorway: Three natural/undyed gray shades

    4) Handfeel & Drape

Soft, warm, and slightly lofty from the yak wool, with a clean, dry cotton base. The drape is balanced—structured yet compliant, making it suitable for both tailored and relaxed silhouettes. The surface has a gentle, natural halo without pilling-prone fuzziness.

    5) Ideal Uses

Lightweight jackets, chore coats, and overshirts
    Tailored trousers, skirts, and pinafores
    Structured shirts and layering pieces
Artisan bags, pouches, and lined accessories
Textured home accents such as cushions or table runners
    (Not suited for stretch-dependent patterns.)

    6) Wash & Care + Disclaimers

Dry clean recommended for best longevity
If washing, use cold water, gentle hand wash, and flat dry
Avoid agitation to protect the handwoven structure
Steam lightly with a pressing cloth; avoid direct heavy pressing
Expect normal natural-fiber behavior (minor relaxation after first clean)
